Our client, WorldRemit, a leading digital cross-border remittance business operating in over 130 countries and 70+ currencies, was expanding its presence in various markets. As a result, the need to integrate banking partners arose, and FreySoft was selected to support this process. Our task involved connecting banks and financial organizations in target locations to increase the number of countries where WorldRemit could perform money transfers. We focused on establishing and maintaining transfer corridors to ensure they operated reliably 24/7, guaranteeing timely transactions.

FreySoft delivered significant value to the business through the following achievements:

• Conducted several code optimizations, enabling the application to operate 24/7 and process over 100,000 payment transactions daily.
• Improved metrics collection and analysis, saving budgets by migrating some services from Azure to AWS.
• Provided full-cycle support for WorldRemit’s API integration, including development, end-to-end testing, and communication with banking partners.

Our collaborative effort resulted in number of microservices with several key improvements:

• Developed APIs for partners and on WorldRemit’s side to allow seamless communication.
• Migrated integrations from the legacy platform to new services, enhancing reliability and scalability.
• Organized a fault-tolerant queue system to ensure the correct sequence and guarantee transaction completion.
• Integrated Grafana for real-time monitoring, enhancing the application’s maintainability.

By implementing these features, WorldRemit now operates in a bigger number of countries, delivering service to its growing users and partners. These enhancements in transaction processing and platform reliability have significantly boosted the business’s efficiency and customer satisfaction.
